Rocky & Julie at our Thanksgiving meal
Rocky & Jessica
Alathea was SO excited here because she discovered an
M&M under this ramp. 2 year olds are so cute :)
We had a wonderful and relaxing time in Williamsburg over Thanksgiving week. I grew up going to this area, but had never seen it decorated for the holidays...it was simply gorgeous. We walked the streets and shopped the shops of the town every day, but decided to not purchase tickets to tour the buildings with the girls being so little. We also made a daily tradition of going to the bake shop for corn bread and apple cider- yummy!
One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to explore the area while running, and Colonial Williamsburg has to be one of the most beautiful places to run.
Our timeshare resort had lots of fun stuff we enjoyed too, like an indoor pool, game room, park and mini-golf. My family even had a few game nights of "battle of the sexes" which was hysterical! Whenever we are all together things get loud and funny really quick- especially with Joe & my brother!
Our girls were SO happy all week. They had constant entertainment from everyone and were non-stop playing and laughing. I love how they love & remember my family no matter how long it is between when they see them. We had an even bigger crowd with us this week as all the "girlfriends and boyfriends" came too. Joe & I laughed that we were the only married people out of a crowd of 11 people. My Dad and Rachel have been dating since the summer as she is a wonderful blessing to the him and the family and is an incredibly godly woman. Rocky and Jessica have been dating (I think) for over 3 years. She's fun and creative and seems like part of the family (Alathea thinks she's as much of a part of the family as everyone else!). Julie and James have been dating since the summer too and it's been a blast having him around- he really loves the Lord, is fun to be with and cares for Julie really well. My uncle Billy was there too and it was wonderful having a full house!
